Rei and the Knock Knock Joke
Toji swore it couldn't be done.
Kensuke had his doubts.
But darn it, Shinji was going to make Rei laugh. It was lunch period in his school, and with nothing better to do, he approached Ayanami's desk and sat backwards in the chair in front of her. She looked a little startled that he had approached her so casually, but she made no sound. She lifted her head up, and acknowledged him.
"Oh, hello Ayanami!" Shinji said. "Listen, I'm going to tell you a joke, okay? It goes like this Ahem."
